Student Life
ATHLETICS
What makes us unique?
At Ashton School Vistacana, our athletics program is strengthened by modern, technology-supported facilities designed to promote high-level training, instruction, safety, and student development. Our campus includes a semi-olympic swimming pool, indoor gymnasium, international-size soccer field, athletics track, basketball courts, volleyball courts, tennis and padel courts, and specialized training spaces that allow students to participate in a wide variety of sports and physical activities within a well-equipped environment.
Our athletic spaces are intentionally designed to support both individual growth and team-based development. Through structured practices, skill-focused instruction, and age-appropriate conditioning, students are encouraged to develop discipline, confidence, teamwork, and healthy habits that extend beyond athletics and into everyday life.
Ashton School Vistacana is also proud to have an internationally diverse athletics community, where students from different cultures and backgrounds come together through sports. This environment encourages collaboration, respect, leadership, and global-mindedness while fostering a strong sense of school spirit and belonging among our student-athletes.
In alignment with the Dominican Ministry of Education curriculum, our program integrates specialized athletic training techniques and physical education strategies that support the holistic development of each student. Our goal is not only to strengthen athletic ability, but also to help students grow academically, socially, emotionally, and personally through meaningful participation in sports and wellness programs.
Through modern facilities, experienced coaches, and a Christ-centered approach to education, Ashton School Vistacana continues to create opportunities for students to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
At Ashton School Vistacana, we are deeply committed to nurturing the holistic development of our students. Physical education and athletics play a vital role alongside academic excellence, fostering discipline, teamwork, confidence, and lifelong healthy habits.
Our athletics program is an integral part of student life and is closely connected to our After-School Enrichment (ACE) Program and Gators Club, offering students a variety of athletic disciplines to explore, develop, and enjoy according to their interests and abilities.

ART
At Ashton School Vistacana, our fine arts program provides students at all grade levels with meaningful exposure to the visual and musical arts throughout their academic experience. Visual arts are introduced from early childhood through secondary school, supporting creativity, self-expression, and artistic growth.
Every student is given the opportunity to participate in the annual Christmas production, and 100% of Elementary students take part in this event. These shared artistic experiences foster confidence, collaboration, and a strong sense of community.
Student Council
Student Council (STUCO) is a group of High School students expected to be the role models for the whole student body in both the academic and the conduct aspects. Their role is to contribute to the everyday improvement process of the school through different assigned tasks, general support, and initiatives that are listened and approved by the Academic Council.
These students are expected to show the main three virtues of the school which are respect, responsibility, and kindness at all times which make them ideal to be involved in and to handle different serious matters related to the improvement process of Ashton School. STUCO students should also identify themselves with the vision and the mission of the school because they are in charge of helping other students of all grades to meet both statements.
There are four Executive STUCO members (President, Vice-president, Secretary, and Treasurer) and four class representatives with the same positions. Both types of positions (executive and class representatives) will be elected by the same procedure except for the fact that the class representatives will be chosen solely by their class and the Executive ones will be chosen by the entire High School.
